How You Can Give $500K Back To Vets With A Hashtag
Hey, I'm a big supporter of veterans, military families, and the orgs that support 'em. As Veterans Day approaches, the Bob Woodruff Foundation announced that they've teamed up with the Love the GIVE campaign to encourage Americans to honor the folks who have served by sharing acts of kindness through social media using the hashtag #Give2Veterans.
Love the GIVE, a campaign run by the Steven & Alexandra Cohen Foundation, is giving $1 to the Bob Woodruff Foundation each time the hashtag #Give2Veterans is used - on any social network, up to $500,000.
Founded in 2006, the Bob Woodruff Foundation creates long-lasting, positive outcomes for our nation’s wounded, ill and injured veterans, service members and their families, by finding, funding and shaping initiatives that enrich the lives of these heroes. I'm a sponsor of their 9th Annual Stand Up For Heroes benefit on November 10 in NYC.
The Bob Woodruff Foundation hopes to have at least 500K uses of the hashtag #Give2Veterans by the start of their Stand Up for Heroes event. I'm going to ask you to help 'em do that. Stand Up for Heroes, a night of comedy and music in New York, is an annual event presented by the Bob Woodruff Foundation and the New York Comedy Festival benefiting the Bob Woodruff Foundation and is supported by Veterans On Wall Street, founding sponsor GFI Group Inc. and the Steven & Alexandra Cohen Foundation.
