Give Back to Teachers Supporting Military Families
Folks, the Craig Newmark Philanthropic Fund (CNPF) recently donated $100K to DonorsChoose to fund teachers and classrooms that support milfams. I've got some good news: in less than a week, we've already helped to fund over $50K for military classroom projects.
Here are the stats, so far:
- Over $50K in projects have been funded
- 95 classrooms, and counting, have been funded
- 74 schools are participating
- almost 8,000 students will be impacted by these projects
Here's the thing, public school teachers nationwide can register on DonorsChoose.org and submit classroom project requests for their students. Eligible teachers will teach in K-12 public school classrooms with a large population of military students and/or in a school with a large population of military families.
The CNPF is funding all eligible projects at DonorsChoose.org up to $1,000. Once that donation has gone toward funding the classroom, the teacher will need less than $100 (donated by you) to make the project a reality for their students.
Eligible classroom projects will include the phrase “military families” in the project description and will cost less than $1,000. You can pick a project to support in honor of a teacher that made an impact in your life. This is the real deal, and I'm really hoping you can help out. Thanks!
